The location was convenient. The view overlooking Kandy lake was nice.

The bathroom had no shower curtain. Flooded the floor everytime we took a shower. NEEDS renovation. Too expensive for the the poor quality of the room. A glass pane of the door to the balcony was broken. Mosquitoes came through that in the night.

The room is very cosy, the view is beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom is nice but could be improved.

The manager was amazing. His support was unwavering and he was friendly. Made the whole stay better. Me.Jayasinghe was always there to help and he is much appreciated. The staff was great. Breakfast was also really good and tasted great. Room was clean and relaxing. Good view as well.

The location was a short thought uphill walk from the centre. There was also a shortcut which the hotel manager was kind enough to let us know.The facilities were average. The bathroom of the room we stayed in could use a little more work. Addition of wall mounted organiser for keeping shower essentials would help.Over all the staff was good good property for short stay

Staff were very friendly. Kitchen staff were really amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and lovely.

Just the bathroom. Needed the counter to put shaving gear etc on it.

Some of the nicest people we met during our trip to Sri Lanka work here. The hotel looks exactly like the pictures. The rooms might need a little bit of renovation, but they are clean and well maintained. The breakfast was outstanding.

Great location , easy walk to town , good size room , great breakfast , lovely friendly helpful staff .Mr Jaysingh (owner ) was a perfect host , and always willing to assist.Aided by Prabath , very friendly and helpful , plus Dean was a lovely guy , always willing to assist.Very good traditional dance show practically next door I’d definitely return there.

Monkeys can be a nuisance , so restricted the use of the balcony .

We did like anything there. The room conditions were not the same as they published on the booking.com website. The bathrooms were in terrible condition, dirty, and things were falling apart. The rooms were very smelly and not clean. Old and faded bed cover. If they refund my money back.

The staff was helpful and the room was spacious.

The climb was high, so for an experienced driber, it could be a little challenging.

Location and view is nice. Not far from centre, breakfast was really good. Stuff were so kind, helpful and friendly ?

Shower head was broken and water was leaking on all sides. Power supply over the shower.

The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful.

The bathroom in particular was not clean. The photos advertised are not the same as what you get.

Great location we saw lots of monkeys from our room and a good view of Kandy.

The property is quite run down. We had trouble with our shower not working. We managed to get it working with help from the staff.

We booked this before travelling (2 months ago)It’s not clean at all. Black dust and new paint smell everywhere. The owner was pushing us to pay and trying to offer another rooms. It was our first night after 20 hour flight. So disappointed

It was a great experience to stay a night at Ceylon Lake Residencies. Mr Jayasinghe who guided us there treated us more than expected with super customer values. Breakfast and the room view was very nice. We like to recommend this place to all who seek the calm Sri Lankan culture and experience in their leisure time. Its worth than the expenditure. Thank you

The location near Arthur’s seat viewpoint was convenient. We also discovered Yaka lounge just one street up from the hotel, a great place for pizza and view of Kandy

There was a musty smell and overall the place needs a refresh. Having said that, there was clearly renovations and painting going on in several places so I guess they are addressing and upgrading.

Breakfast was nice.

The room we booked and saw in the booking was not really like the one we got. The rooms would need a lot of renovation and could be a lot cleaner. Also don’t really expect a lake view, lake is only visible behind the buildings from most of the rooms.

Great location. Good Internet. Clean towels. Comfortable beds. Nice balcony. In the evening, monkeys jumped on the roof( and it was a fan).
